Hooray!  I pondered to myself.  I was sitting in Ms. Sanfield’s class; it was getting closer to leaving school.  I was getting checked out at 11:30 to go to Yeager Airport.  I was heading to Orlando, Florida to go to Twirl Mania.  It was going to be held at the World’s ESPN Center.  It was also going to be filmed by ESPN.

Ding!  The lunch bell rang.  The whole sixth grade class was bolting downstairs.  Once I pushed through the crowd, Mr. Paxton, the principal, told me I was being signed out by my Aunt Rene.  Cartwheeling down the hallways, my spirits were very high.  I was very happy!

After that, my twirling team, my coach, Aunt Renee, Abbie, my cousin, and I met at the airport three hours before the plane arrived.  We did this so we had enough time to go through security and register the plane tickets.  When I strolled through the metal detector, I felt so stupid because I forgot to take my phone out of my pocket.  Once our plane arrived, we boarded the plane.  As I ambled down the mobile stairs, I was feeling nervous.  My hands started to tremble a little.  The plane captains were standing there greeting people.  They were very nice gentleman.  I sat in the seat next to the window.  It was cool because I could look out.  We all fastened our seatbelts, and the plane took off.  There we were, on our way to Disney World!

Furthermore, once we got into the sky, we were able to take our seatbelts off.  The airplane attendants came around with refreshments and little packs of pretzels.  I looked out the window and we were in the fluffy clouds.  They looked so beautiful; I just wanted to go jump on them.

All of a sudden, one of the captains said to put our seatbelts back on, so we did.  He said we were going into turbulence.  At this point, I was scared because I though turbulence was a bad thing.  To my surprise, turbulence was just air bumps.  They were actually fun.

Finally, we were landing.  That was the scariest part.  On the runway, we were going so fast, and then they hit the brakes.  My heart was pounding so hard I thought it was going to fall out.  As I stepped off the plane, the captains were saying to have a nice day.  Walking into the Orlando airport, it was bigger and nicer than Yeager airport!  There were lots of stores and food courts.

Next, we registered our Disney tickets and hopped on the Disney busses.  When we arrived at the Musical Hotel, there was a gigantic red carpet you had to stroll across.  It was cool because it made you feel like you were famous.  We all checked in at the front desk.  The rooms were really nice too.  It was late and I had to get some sleep.  I jumped in the soft bed, and went right to sleep.  I was dreaming about the day ahead.

Ring! Ring!  Our wake- up call was calling.  It was 5:00 a.m.  I woke up wide eyed and bushy-tailed ready for the competition.  Hot curlers in my hair, and make-up on, the competition began.  The building was huge; it had a baseball stadium, soccer, tennis practice gyms, and a whole lot more.  The biggest gym was where the baton competition was being held.  The competition lasted three days.  It was so awesome!  I placed sixth and ended up placing eighth in my category.  It was lots of fun, even though I didn’t win anything too big.  I know I did well because there were people from all over the world.

Later that day, we gathered our things and we are leaving.  We got outside and it was dark out.  All the taxis had been taken, and the busses were not running.  It was already too late.  The only thing left in the parking lot was a stretch limo.  A guy in a black suit stepped out.  He said my VIP members didn’t show up.  He asked if we needed to go somewhere, and we said yes.  We hopped in the limo, and headed off to our hotel.  I felt like Cinderella in her chariot.  I had never ridden in a limo before.

The rest of the time we were there, we went to the Disney parks.  That includes, Epcot, which was very educational; Animal Kingdom which was all about each and every place in the world; Hollywood studios which was about Mickey Mouse and famous people; last but not least, there was Magic Kingdom, which was my favorite.  It was all about princesses and princess.  I’ve always wanted to be Cinderella!  That night standing on the Dream Bridge, I saw the fireworks.  They lit up the night sky.  They were in formations of Tinkerbell and Mickey Mouse.  It was epic.  I had a wonderful time there.  Also, the plane ride was awesome!  I’m afraid of heights, but still if I could I would ride one every day!  I hope I get to go back someday because I loved it.  You should go someday too!  I’ve been to Twirl Mania and all the Disney parks.  I loved it so much!
