A Broken Elbow
By: Lydia S.
Hello my name is Lydia Schoolcraft. I am 14 years old. I am in the eighth grade, and my favorite sport is volleyball. I want to tell you a story. A story about the time I broke my elbow.
When I broke my elbow, we lived in a little blue house. Our house had three bedrooms. One bedroom was for my two sisters and I, one for my three brothers, and one for my parents. We also had two bathrooms, one kitchen, and a living room.
One day I was in the living room, where we had a TV that sets on a dark brown TV stand. We also have a blue couch with a matching chair and love seat. Our carpet was blue and our walls were white.
I was two years old the day I broke my elbow. I was in the living room watching TV and jumping up and down on the couch. As I was jumping I slipped and fell off the couch. When I fell I landed on my elbow and broke it.
My parents then heard me crying and came rushing to the living room. When they realized that I could not move my arm they rushed me to the hospital. After the doctor had examined my arm, he decided that I needed to have an x-ray. Then after the x-ray he told my parents that I had fractured my elbow. So they gave me a pink cast and told me I would have to wear it for a couple of months. When I returned to the hospital the doctor took my cast off and told my parents that I had fully recovered.
